부처님의 말씀을 찬탄하기 위한 소리, 범패(梵唄)가 이 시대 불교 음악의 최고 어장(魚丈)인 동희스님에 의해 18장의 CD로 만들어졌다. 9세기 무렵 신라시대부터 전해지기 시작한 범 패는, 불교 의식을 보다 장엄하게 하고, 심신을 심화시켜 어지러운 마음을 다스려, 부처님께 예를 올리는 의식음악이다. 장단과 화성이 없는 단성선율(單聲旋律)로 이루어진 범패 음악 은, 서양의 그레고리안 찬트와 같은 성격의 의식음악이다. 가곡·판소리와 더불어 우리나라 의 3대 성악곡이며, 특히 범패 중 영산재는 유네스코 세계무형♘화유산으로 등재됨으로서, 종교음악의 가치를 넘어 한국을 대표하는 소중한 민속음악이기도 하다.
범패의 세계는 무척 넓지만 이번 음반작업에서는 대중들과 나누어야 할 곡들을 추려 ‘범 음’ 13장 음반에 담았으며, 불교 무용 세계에 꼭 필요한 곡들은 ‘작법’ 음반에, 불경 속의 교 훈적 이야기를 담은 곡들은 ‘화청’ 음반에 각각 수록하였다. 그리고 스님들의 의식에 자주 사용되는 곡들은 ‘대령·관욕’으로 따로 담았다.
동희(東熙)스님
1945년 해방둥이로 태어난 동희스님은, 한국전쟁중이던 여섯살 때 서울 청량사에서 조계종 비구니로서의 삶을 시작하였다. 13세 때 범패로 명성이 높은 대어장(大漁丈) 故 송암스님의 ♘하에 입♘하여 범패를 시작하였고, 지금까지 65년간 변함없이 범음범패 를 계승하고 예술의 극치로 발전시키고 있다.
‘중요무형♘화재 제50호’ 영산재 교육조교 및 조계종 염불종장’인 동희스님은 비구니로서 최초로 범패승 계보에 올랐으며, 불교 의식의 무대 공연화를 시도하여 큰 성공을 거두기도 하였다.
30세에 옥천범음대학에서 강의를 시작한 이래, 동국대·서울대·한국예술종합학교·각 승가대학교와 국립국악원 등에서 범음과 범 패를 가르쳐왔으며, 현재는 동희범음회의 대표로 제자를 지도하고 있다.
동희스님은 지금도 ‘국가무형♘화재 제126호 진관사 수륙재’ 등 국가의 주요 불교 행사를 집전하고 있으며, 1980년 ‘베를린음악 제’ 초청 영산재 공연 이후 로마 교황청 초청 공연, 뉴욕 사운드스페이스 공연, 워싱턴 케네디센터 공연, 도쿄 국립극장 공연 등 해 외 무대에서도 소중한 우리 ♘화를 알리는데 힘써왔다.
평론가의 표현대로, ‘동희스님의 범패는 영혼을 다스리는 소리이며, 스님의 춤은 마음을 다스리는 몸짓’이라 할 수 있다.

1. Order cancellation

2. Exchange/Refund
- Exchange/refund request can be registered through email within 7 days after delivery.
- The round-trip shipping rate is charged to the customer for exchange/refund due to customer’s private reasons.
- If refund is approved after request, then we will guide you in regard to the refund charge and round-trip delivery fees.
- If the product is different from our description/advertisement on the page, or you are eligible for exchange/refund due to product malfunction or wrong delivery, then the shipping rate for refund/exchange will be paid by our company.

4. Delivery Information
