두근두근 9명 소녀들의 고백을 담은 타이틀 곡 “나랑 사귈래”는 작년 다이아 단독콘서트를 통해 먼저 공개했던 곡으로 팬들 사이에서 뜨거운 반응을 불러 일으키며 발매를 손꼽아 기다리게 만든 곡이다. 준비 기간 동안 팬들의 기대에 보답하기 위해 멜로디부터 가사, 안무까지 모두 새롭게 편곡한 ‘나랑 사귈래’ 작년 콘서트 버전과는 또 다른 통통 튀는 매력을 기대해 보아도 좋다!

타이틀곡 ‘나랑 사귈래’는 빠른 템포의 팝 댄스 곡으로 곡 시작과 동시에 나오는 SYNTH PLUCK 사운드와 SYNTH LEAD 소리가 돋보이는 곡. 특히 인트로와 아웃트로 부분 페이스타임을 연상케 하는 설정은 곡의 신선함을 불어넣는다. 제목 자체만으로 사랑에 빠진 소녀의 솔직 발랄한 마음을 느낄 수 있는 것과 같이 곡 안무 중 하트를 그리는 안무가 포인트가 되어 이전에 볼 수 없었던 다이아의 귀여움과 깜찍함을 느낄 수 있다.

또한 타이틀곡을 포함해 수록 곡 13곡 모두 멤버들의 자작곡으로 구성된 정규2집 [YOLO]에서는 음악에 대한 멤버들의 진중함과 뮤지션으로서 한층 더 성장한 모습을 볼 수 있다.

작년 단독콘서트를 통해 먼저 공개되었던 “나랑 사귈래 2016”은 ROCK 기타사운드와 EDM SYNTH사운드를 기반으로 신나는 하우스비트 위 밝고 통통 튀는 복고적인 멜로디와 트랜디한 멜로디의 조화로 다이아의 특별한 신선함을 느낄 수 있는 곡이다. 그루브한 비트와 브라스 사운드가 돋보이는 댄스 곡 “남.사.친”는 친구였던 소년에게 사랑의 감정을 느끼는 소녀의 마음을 솔직 발랄하게 표현한 곡으로 타이틀 곡 “있잖아 BABY BABY 나랑 사귈래”에 못지않은 킬링 파트 “이리 와봐 너 너 너 BABY”가 예상되고 이모티콘을 재현한 안무가 곡에 재미를 불어넣는다. 다이아와 딘딘의 완벽한 콜라보로 완성된 “사월”은 제목 그대로 봄의 정서를 듬뿍 담은 곡. 멤버들의 청량한 보컬 멜로디라인과 차분하면서도 쫄깃한 딘딘과 멤버 기희현, 은진의 랩이 따듯한 조화를 이룬다. “이 노래 들어볼”는 사월 (feat.딘딘)과 같은 멜로디의 다이아 멤버들의 버전. 다이아의 여성스럽고 아기자기한 보컬라인과 랩 라인을 더욱 느낄 수 있다. 멤버 기희현의 자작곡 “시간이 없어”는 작년 팬들과의 소통창구인 (V-Live)를 통해 즉석으로 작업해 공개한 곡으로 <프로듀스101>의 인연으로 맺어진 김청하가 피처링으로 지원사격하며 완성도를 더했다. 재미있는 제목의 “너만 모르나 봄”은 멤버 예빈의 자작곡이며 다이아의 봄 시즌 송으로 소개하고 싶다. 어쿠스틱 기타사운드 반주에 밝은 느낌의 멜로디와 이별 후 상대방을 그리워하는 가사가 대조되는 점이 이 곡의 특징이다. 꿈을 이루는 과정에 대한 삶의 이야기를 담은 “마네킹”은 지난 앨범 “연습생”의 연장선 곡, 엔카의 여왕 김연자와 홍진영의 참여로 주목을 이끈 “꽃,달,술(김연자X다이아X홍진영)”와 다이아X김연자 버전의 “꽃,달,술(다이아X김연자)”에서는 트로트 장르를 도전함으로써 다이아의 무궁무진한 발전 가능성을 보였다. 삼일절 날 순국 선열에 대한 감사와 그들의 정신을 잊지 않겠다는 내용을 담은 곡 “乾坤坎離”. 타이틀 곡과는 또 다른 서정적인 분위기의 “나랑 사귈래 (Ballad Ver.)”. 가수 꿈에 대한 다이아의 집념, 희망을 내보이는 “빛”까지.
