cosmosy 2nd EP ‘~ of the world ~’
1st EP ‘the a(e)nd’의 문을 지나 도착한 낯설고 매혹적인 신세계. ‘~ of the world ~’는 신세계 속 소녀들이 겪는 사랑을 자연 현상과 물리 법칙에 빗대어 풀어낸 앨범이다. 90년대~2000년대 초반 J-R&B와 J-Hiphop을 베이스로 하우스, J-Urban, 퓨처리스틱 사운드를 결합해 과거와 현대를 잇는 cosmosy만의 미학을 완성했다.
이성적 법칙으로 사랑을 통제하려 했던 5개의 디바이스(PRISM INVADERS)는 모두 실패하지만, 기꺼이 ‘오류’가 되기를 선택한 소녀들의 여정은 처절하면서도 아름답다. 불가능 앞에서도 기적을 믿으며 세상에 던지는 가장 눈부신 승부수.
1. Physics ~ 物理的な ~
(PRISM WATCH) 하우스와 팝의 경계를 넘나드는 트랙으로, 빈티지한 신스 톤과 펑키한 베이스가 중독적인 매력을 선사한다. 시간과 궤도가 교차하는 신세계 속에서 서로에게 끌리며 새로운 궤도를 만들어가는 '사랑의 물리학'을 그렸다. ‘~ of the world ~’의 본격적인 시작을 알리는 곡이다.

2. Chance ~ 好きだっていう前に ~
(PRISM SCOUTER) 따뜻한 스트링과 피아노 프레이즈 위에 J-Urban 특유의 멜로디 전개를 얹어 감성을 자극하는 앨범의 중심 트랙이다. 사랑의 확률을 읽어내는 디바이스가 0%의 불가능을 선고함에도, 운명에 지지 않고 ‘0에서 1로 향하는 기적’을 간절히 바라는 소녀들의 기도를 담았다.

(PRISM PENDANT) 하우스 비트와 다크한 신스 텍스처가 만나 클럽의 열기와 새벽녘의 고독을 동시에 품은 사운드를 완성했다. 빛으로 모습을 바꾸는 장치로 인해 변해버린 모습 속에 마음을 감추고, 음악이 가장 큰 곳에서만 겨우 숨을 쉬며 침묵을 택할 수밖에 없는 소녀들의 내면을 표현했다.

5. Patience ~ 오직 너와 ~
(PRISM PIPE) 청량하고 매끄러운 ‘프루티거 에어로(Frutiger Aero)’ 무드의 팝 트랙으로, 훅(Hook)의 재지한 플룻 라인이 기분 좋은 해방감을 선사한다. 감정을 조종하려는 장치의 힘을 빌리지만, 결국 스스로의 마음을 봉인해버리고 마는 아이러니와 순수한 감성을 현대적인 사운드로 풀어냈다.

(PRISM RING) 2000년대 퓨처리스틱 감성에 정글(Jungle) 스타일의 드럼 비트를 더해 폭발적인 생동감을 불어넣은 트랙. 중반부 트랩(Trap)으로의 과감한 전환이 곡의 몰입도를 극대화한다. 가상의 사랑을 실행하는 장치를 통해, 거짓인 줄 알면서도 이루지 못한 사랑의 짙은 그리움에 빠져드는 애틋함을 담았다.

- Cancellation cannot be made after 12:00p.m. on the next day of the order date, though the shipment hasn’t begun.
